What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? Isn't that the heart of the Father, our Creator, who loves us in a way that we can't even imagine? These verses will be our focus in August as we search the jails, the prisons and the streets for these lost, frightened and often very willful sheep.
It is amazing to me how many women in our jails have heard the invitation of Jesus to come and follow Him when they were children. Now as adults, they are beginning to understand why they need the forgiveness and empowerment of Jesus and His Spirit. As they sit in jail with very little to do, they read the Bibles you help us provide and are ready for the words we speak when we come in. Thank you again for partnering with us to reach and teach women as their hearts open up to God's love. |
