Group Studies

It has been a great month sharing lessons from Group Studies for New Learners on resisting temptation and allowing our minds to be renewed by God's Word.

Each week, as we study together, there are precious "lightbulb moments" as women begin to make sense of the love of God and His ability to transform their lives.

As our month ends, many of our students are being released back into their communities and others finally sentenced to federal or state prisons. We will follow them all through our newsletter, A Door of Hope, to provide encouragement as they move into their next phase of life.

Thank You!

What a blessing the Just Serve organization has been to help supply us with tube socks for street outreach and batteries for our jail sound equipment. Kimber Stevens added a gift card to purchase cases of paper and envelopes for printing lessons and newsletters. Thank you, Kimber and Just Serve, for your Volunteer Fair to connect our community agencies and to help supply resources to each group represented. We appreciate you!

Special thanks also go to All Saints Episcopal Church this month for helping us provide local bus tickets to women as they are released from jail with no way to travel home. They also blessed us with funds for Dollar Store reading glasses so our students can read their new Bibles that we provide. The jail chaplain, Wayne Jenkins distributes these, as well as our weekly lessons so that women can study ahead and follow along during our meetings.

The Power of Scripture

It has been exciting to see women filling their minds and their hearts with God's Words of life and hope. They read before bed and meditate on verses that stay in their minds throughout the night and bring them peace and healing. What a comfort His love is throughout their transformation from the inside out.

Thank you to each of you reading this message. Your prayers make such a difference and the gifts you share change lives!
