"The Campus Without Walls Behind the Wall"

July 2025

Updates

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

                                               - John 8:31b-32

Freedom! What a powerful word! After celebrating  Flag Day and Juneteenth in June, now we can enjoy the reminders of freedom on the Fourth of July;  fireworks, parades and family gatherings. How much more can our students experience the freedom of a clear conscience and the ability to think and act in healthy ways as they live in the presence of God’s wonderful, empowering truth. Now that sounds like the best freedom for all of us!

This will be the focus of our teaching sessions all through July as well.

Gloria's Story

"Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear."

- Isaiah 65:24

Gloria found this to be true and shares her story of freedom with us. She asked to use this picture of a dove to show how she feels now.

She says:

"Never underestimate the power and love of God. I met Kathy and the jail outreach team when I was 18, broken and in jail. For the next 37 years, God never gave up on me and in turn, He used Kathy, Sylvia, Stephanie, Kathleen and the team to not give up on me either.

I have been clean and sober now for the last seven years and am still going strong for the Lord. I wrote a note to God while in Teen Challenge in 2018 and signed and dated it. ‘Where you lead God, I will follow, ‘ and here I am, following God’s leading. I love my life!”

Gloria has spent the last few years sharing healthy snacks and meals with those living on the streets in the Tri-Cities. She also shares copies of literature filled with God’s words so those in need can find the hope for transformation that she has discovered. God’s truth and Gloria’s team’s kindness helps people become free!

Sharing Hope

We share hope and words of encouragement with the staff at Kadlec Medical Center. They often help save lives and bring medical healing to those with substance use disorders and the physical consequences of long term alcohol and drug abuse. The medical staff there are heroes!

Pictured are the bags we recently took into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Birth Center. They are filled with healthy snacks and notes thanking them for their skill and kindness. We know that often these little ones are born early or addicted to the substances their mothers struggle with misusing. We can only imagine just how difficult it must be for the medical staff, so we cheer them on. We let them know that Adult & Teen Challenge helps bring healing to both men and women trapped in addiction, and we share information about our regional comprehensive programs. We let them know they are in our prayers and I encourage each of you, our readers, to include them in your prayers as well.
