Campus Updates

God is always faithful. We are consistently seeing the work He is doing in the lives of our men, the community and the family and friends of our students.

His goodness is transforming lives, purpose is being found and all in the name of Jesus!

Answered Prayers!

God has provided an answer to prayers for needed staff! Not only is Isaiah filling a valuable role as Recovery Coach, but he’s also a program alumni.

Our Recovery Coaches provide direct peer care to our students, guiding them through their program and into their new lives in Christ. We are so encouraged by Isaiah’s faithfulness and willingness to serve alongside us in the same ministry that helped him experience freedom.

Get to Know Isaiah

"I am 24 years old, and grew up in Colfax, a small town near Pullman, Washington. For most of my life, I tried to figure out who I was while carrying a lot of pain. My dad passed away when I was 13, and just two years later, I was battling cancer. Ten months of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation left me physically alive but emotionally hollow.

As I got older, I turned to drugs and alcohol to mask the pain, trying to drown out memories of being bullied and the grief I couldn’t shake. I searched for acceptance in all the wrong places, even in college, where bad decisions only deepened the void in my life. My choices cost me trust in my relationships, and even then, the emptiness never went away.

My cousin, who had gone through Adult & Teen Challenge and had been sober for four years, told me about the program. Honestly, I had no intention of coming. But after a couple of sleepless nights, the Holy Spirit tugged at my heart. At 4:00am, I called my dad and told him I needed help. The next day, I walked through the doors of Adult & Teen Challenge.

Since then, God has shown me what true freedom looks like. I’ve found real relationships centered around Christ, learned to walk daily in my identity as a son of God, and discovered the strength that comes from sharpening one another as brothers. I’ll never forget one of those nights here, sitting in the chapel with another student named Seth. For hours, he just spoke life into me. That night, for the first time, I closed my mouth, listened, and made the decision to wholeheartedly pursue Christ. That was the turning point.

Today, I’m stepping into a new chapter as a Recovery Coach on staff at ATC, helping other men find the same freedom I’ve found! My dream is to earn a degree in social work so I can counsel and walk alongside men who are fighting the same battles I once faced. My life is no longer defined by pain or addiction, but by the calling God has placed on me: to serve, to lead, and to help others live out their full potential in Christ."

Community Representation

We were invited to be highlighted as a mission-focused organization for the Assemblies of God Family Bible Camp at Silver Lake. We set up a table, and shared student testimonies at each of the four evening services, followed by receiving a generous love offering that was given on the final night.

There were upwards of 600-700 people there, celebrating Jesus, and hearing about our residential recovery program for those who had loved-ones in need!

Restoring Fatherhood

The Spokane Fatherhood Initiative (SpoFI) has generously committed to teach their six week Relationship Parenting class to eleven of our students who are working hard to restore and grow their relationship with their children. This is an excellent partnership between two non-profits with an overlapping vision of seeing men set free to step into their responsibility as men.

Fatherlessness is at the root of so many of our society’s struggles, but when men are transformed by Christ, families heal, children thrivenand generations change!

Planting Seeds of Hope

One of our Pastoral Advisors is also a microbiologist and has a passion for gardening. He loves pouring into the men and teaching them Scripture and life skills. Chuck provides illustrative insights to the fruit of the Holy Spirit, as well as physical fruit with the amazing garden he leads and helps the students tend to.

Our students are blessed with fresh organic vegetables this time of the year, and we are looking to expand our garden in 2026.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Completions: Isaiah, Jesse & Tim

The greatness and glory of God is well beyond our comprehension. However, we see so many things where His love, mercy, grace and faithfulness shine through!

Through Him, we began this month with not one, but two completions on the same day! Weeks later, we celebrated our third completion for this month! Thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, these men have stayed faithful, steadfast, and starting their renewed lives strengthened by Jesus for what lies ahead.

Congratulations to Isaiah, Jesse and Tim!

Send Students to Spiritual Emphasis!

We are getting prepared for our annual Spiritual Emphasis which is a four-day retreat at Washington Family Ranch. Our students will have the opportunity to encounter the Lord with twelve other campuses in the region.

This is always a special highlight for our students every year. We will be taking 65 students, alumni, staff and families with the cost of $200 per person. If you’d like to help us get to camp, please click on the “donate” link below and select “Spiritual Emphasis” in the dropdown menu.
