September 2025 Newsletter

Greetings from the Big Island Women's Campus!

We just hosted our first annual Fashion Show, and it was an unforgettable day! We were honored to have a graduate, who is now a Pastor’s wife, Cheylene, share her testimony. Also in attendance was our VIP, Councilwoman Ashley Kierkiewicz.

The testimonies were deeply moving, the models radiated confidence and joy, and the food and silent auction added a festive touch. It was more than a fundraiser, it was a celebration of transformation, hope, and community.

Outreach

We were honored to collaborate with the Nehemiah Project for the Hope Community Event, raising awareness about human trafficking. Numerous agencies joined in unity, and we were blessed to minister and pray for many attendees. We were especially grateful to have the Mayor Kimo Alameda and Councilman Matt Kaneali’i-Klienfelder from District 5 present, showing their support for this vital cause.

Student Testimony: Nakita

Nakita came to us in July, grieving the loss of a close friend and tired from her battle with methamphetamine and fentanyl. After two overdoses, her family feared the worst, but when Nakita saw the fear in her daughters’ eyes, something shifted. Though she continued to struggle, her family brought her home. Within a three-day period, her family had seven pastors surround her in prayer.

One pastor, an Adult & Teen Challenge graduate, shared his story and Nakita saw hope for herself. After researching the program, she made the courageous decision to join.

Today, Nakita is in the program and excited to see what the Lord has for her next.

Glory to God!
