July 2025 Newsletter

Greetings from the Big Island Women's Campus!

Church Presentations

What an incredible time at Overflow Church in Kohala and Kona. We were blessed to meet the wife and son of the Director to Papua New Guinea Teen Challenge and what a testimony of how this center came to life, amazing how the Lord works. We also had an amazing service at Hope DIA-mend Ministries in Ocean View; we were moved by the Holy Spirit at these services. Thank you, Pastor Tex and Pastor Pam, for allowing us to bless your Ohana we were so honored.

Queen Ester Women's Conference

The women attended the Sisterhood Brunch with Arise Church and were so moved by the powerful and encouraging message and they were also chosen to spend 'One Night with The King' at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel with Pastor Ku’ulei from 'In His Presence Ministries.' They were Queens at the Queen Ester Conference, two of our ladies were baptized during this event. Thank you, Arise Church, for having us and Pastor Ku’ulei for blessing our women at your conference. We appreciate you all.

Outreach

This month the women’s campus was able to volunteer and participate at 'Camp Imua' with Pastor Charlie and his team from Hale Pule Ke Ola Hou Church and serve the children, who are called Angels at the camp.

Our ladies had a blast and were able to zipline and play team building games. Most importantly, they were blessed by serving the children, which proved to have a major impact on the ladies. Thank you Pastor Charlie for the honor to serve with you and your team.

Student Highlight: Uilani

Uilani came to us in November of 2024, excited to be here and at the same time angry, confused about her identity, like many of us coming into the program, not knowing her purpose in life and carrying so many burdens. Uilani left home at 13 years old and rebelled against her parents. She shares her childhood trauma along with all that she experienced and how she had to become someone she was not to protect herself and her sisters.

Today, she is full of Jesus’ love, peace, and joy, and the transformation is evident. Uilani is excited about completing the program and desires to go to college and be a firefighter.

Uilani story is one of many that have come through the doors of Adult & Teen Challenge PacWest, but we could not do this without your support. We solely rely on the support of our community and donors like you. It is worth watching these hurting women transform into who they were created to be.

For $45 a month you will receive:

  • quarterly updates on their progress
  • pictures and an invitation to their completion service
  • You may also write letters and send encouraging cards
