Student & Children Updates

August has come to an end, and we are ready for fall!

 

This past month, we had a very special birthday: Lanaya, MaKenzie’s daughter, turned nine! We were able to celebrate her with a cake and presents on the day of her birthday, and the following Saturday, we took the family on a trip to the Enchanted Forest for a day of fun.

 

Both Lanaya and Kenzie stated that this has been the best birthday they have ever had together as a family. We hope that this is the first of an awesome family tradition for Kenzie and her kiddos!

 
 

Student Spotlight: Stephanie

Stephanie is completing the program! We will have her completion ceremony at the campus on September 21. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for details for that day. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
 

Outreach

We are so excited to announce our partnership with Valley River Life Church! They have officially adopted us as their local mission, and they are committing to coming alongside and supporting. We have been growing in a relationship with pastor Kevin and pastor Steve, and we are excited to see what the future holds.

We appreciate all of you at VRL! Your support means so much.

 

We are officially going into the Lane County and Marion County Jails next week! After months of hard work, getting the clearance to enter the jails, talking with the staff there to get things in place, we finally have dates to go and meet with women in the jail.

We are so excited and so expectant! Please keep us in prayer as we are hoping to get our beds filled with the women who need to be here and encounter Jesus!

 

Coming Up!

Our next fundraising event is our Cornhole For Hope Tournament, and time is running out to sign up as the day of the event is fast approaching.

We need your support! If you are planning to attend, please get your tickets now so we can make preparations for the event. We are going to have lots of fun, good food and fellowship.

Thank you to everyone who has been stopping by our thrift store to shop or bring donations. We appreciate you all so much and we would still love to receive more donations!

 

Spread the word! We will pick up furniture and other items. You can schedule a pickup online or come drop off in the back of the store. 

 

Please come on by and check out the items we have on the sales floor while you are there. We appreciate your support.

 

There a few items on the wish list, but we will also take any gently used outdoor furniture. Contact Shannon (904) 801-0946.
